ABOUT US – Testimonials

working with you to create the stars of the future

Of course we believe our Nursery is the best, but don’t just take our word for it, read what some of the parents think;

Little Stars Day Nursery have been a magnificent platform for my daughters transition to school. The hands-on, wide spread and fun learning alongside the kindness and encouragement in abundance, from all staff members, has boosted her confidence levels and has helped her to reach her full potential for the transition. She has now stared school joyfully, independently and with genuine enthusiasm to learn more. Thank you Little Stars – I believe the engaging classroom activities and the energy and positivity displayed by all staff members – really does shine through all the children under your care.

Our daughter joined Little Stars when she was 11 months old, she is now 27 months old. The staff at Little Stars are all lovely and brilliant with the children. They support your child in every way they can and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. Being a working parent, it is hard leaving her but you know that she is always busy with her days in Little Stars and the staff are always friendly and talk to you about how the days have been. You are always kept up to date. They have helped my daughter to grow and they push her to try new things. Little Stars Day Nursery was recommended to me and I would highly recommend Little Stars to any parent looking for a nursery for their child to go to.

“We’ve been attending Little Stars with our two boys since 2012 when our eldest was just 6mths old. It really is a fabulous nursery which makes a working parents life so much more bearable knowing they have been left in such great hands and having so much fun. Along with a nurturing environment they have given our sons the confidence and first vital steps in a learning environment along with fantastic wholesome food. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable and we would highly recommend Little Stars to any new parent looking for a new setting!”

My little boy has been attending Little Stars since he was 7 months old and had just moved into the “Big Boys” room Rockets! It really is a home from home environment with caring staff who offer wonderful learning experiences whilst maintaining a nurturing and personal approach. They have always been flexible in every way and nothing is too much trouble! Would highly recommend Little Stars!

We are sad to be leaving Little Stars after nearly 6 years. Lily and Jake both loved their time there and started school as confident little people. As working parents with busy jobs Little Stars worked brilliantly for us and I only had to pick up once for illness. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery. Thank you.

After looking at several nurseries my partner and I decided Little Stars was the nursery for Luca. We found the staff to be friendly with the senior staff providing contact details of other parents who we could approach and ask questions which was very helpful to gain a parents perspective. Luca joined the nursery when he was six months old.

Luca was unsettled as a baby, he cried a lot (buckets of tears) and found it difficult to settle. Luca became frustrated and used to bang his head on any type of floor (people watched in horror as he did this which was very upsetting for us). He presented challenging behaviour which concerned us all. I sought advice from a range of professionals as we found it difficult, little help was given. Little Stars reviewed this for several months and sought help from the Local Authority. Luca had to attend review meetings with a range of various professionals, after several sessions Luca was diagnosed with high levels of anxiety, something which we knew nothing about (how could anxiety exist in such a young child?). Support was given through Portage (a play therapy), OT, speech and language sessions. All agencies engaged with the nursery who were always willing to hold meetings with all stakeholders to ensure that we were all working towards the same goals, not only benefitting Luca but us, his parents. All of this hard work and effort which was applied made it so much easier at home- in the words of Richard- the owner, it has been ‘life changing’. This combined effort made a huge different to Luca from a child who would not attend parties to someone who had asked if he could have a Spiderman Party – I was fortunate to find a Spiderman who was shy without the costume- who knew!

Luca has done a 360 degree turn, he is a boy who is quietly confident, will be shy at the beginning of meeting a new child/being placed in a new environment but once he has found his feet he is happy, will play and engage with others. Without the kindness and care shown by Little Stars Luca would not have these skills and be the boy he is today. We feel fortunate that we chose a nursery which not only cares for children but goes the extra mile when there are concerns.

As Luca goes onto school I will be very sad to say goodbye to the staff at Little Stars, they have provided our child with life skills – confidence, empathy and kindness. Two skills which he call upon throughout this life.

I know why Little Stars was given that name as it is full of stars who will provide the care and support not only to your child but also the parents if needed.

– Parent of Luca

I have always found the staff very caring and supportive. When my son was 2 and in Little Comets, my husband was in Afghan for over 6 months, his key workers got him to make his Father’s day card a few weeks early, so that we had plenty of time to send it to him. I was very touched by this as I hadn’t asked them to do anything. The role play areas in Big Comets and Rockets are great. The imagination my son has for stories or play is so much better than I could have ever helped him with at home. He has been able to experience a variety of roles from hairdressers, cafes, children’s hospital to travel agents, post offices and toy shops.

Massive thank you to all at Little Stars. Alfie has grown so much in the years being with you and I get complemented all the time on what a level, all rounded, sociable child he is. I feel this is because he has been guided by the right people and all at little stars playing a major role in that.

I just want to say how happy we are with everyone at Little Stars and how welcome they have made us feel. Ethan seems to be settled in nicely now and having fun packed days. He even asked to go back to Nursery when we got home on Friday!

I would just like to take the opportunity to mention how happy we are with the fantastic and hardworking staff in Little Stars. We would recommend your Nursery to anyone that asks. Thank you for helping us teach our little girl, in such a fun and caring way.
