WOW! Another month as passed by and we had lots and lots of fun!

During May our Topic was ‘Story Tales’ and we have been exploring cutting, sticking, messy play, water play, bubbles, counting, threading, climbing, painting, baking and much more!

The children showed great interest in exploring books and as so, we have been building our very own ‘Three Little Pigs’ houses, ‘The Winnie the Pooh’ hive, planting beans to take home and then recording how the beans grow in our own bean growing diary for Jack and The Bean Stalk, a sensory Gruffalo tray and Gruffalo playdough, a sensory Gingerbread man Playdough and cutters, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by exploring the days of the week, healthy and unhealthy food, making their caterpillar for snack and growing and decay concepts, counting Hippos from the Hippo book and making porridge for The Goldilocks.

In the garden, Big Comets have been exploring the pirate ship, climbing up and down and being pirates to find the hidden treasure, water play and bubbles blowing! The children had also a dress up day from one of their favourite tales. As the weather has been changing and the sun has been out, we have enjoyed our outdoors learning through sand tray, water play, construction and painting.

During the month we have been practicing our fine motor skills by threading lots of different objects, cutting and fitting pencils on our special container. We have also explored number matching; comparing and we even drew around our friends, on the floor, to compare who is the tallest in the room! Actually, we had even more fun by tracing around Laura’s, Natacha’s and George’s bodies because they are very big!

We are very excited now because we have started our crafts for Father’s Day and we can’t wait for our Father’s Day barbecue party in our Garden!! Don’t forget, Wednesday, 12th June at 11am!
Very soon we are going to take part on the Pyjamarama fundraising for Book Trust and everyone can come to nursery with their pyjamas on! It’s going to be on Friday, 7th of June 2019! Don’t forget your best pyjama!

This month we would like to say a big well done to Archie, Aidan, Aster, Annabelle, Sam and Sophie for getting their 10th stamp, for being amazing in lots of different ways. A big well done to Ares and Porter for being the friends of the week and another big well done to Aidan, Harry, Cato and Walter for being the stars of the week and being able to take home our cute and friendly Kristina bear!

Keep up your amazing work!

Last, but no least, we would love to say a farewell Goodbye to our amazing friends that moved to Rockets! Isla, Noah, Nathan and William we will all miss you but we are sure you will love being in your new room!
