This month in Little Comets we have been exploring ‘Nature’.

We have had endless fun learning about; insects, leaves and Independence Day.

We have had so many opportunities to make different insects, from multi-coloured butterfly cakes which were really fun as we got to taste them when they were all cooked, to making nature crowns using a selection of heuristic resources from the garden, including; twigs and leaves. We also used our thumbprints to make caterpillars and ladybirds and our handprints to make spiders.

We were given pine cones to decorate, learning that they come from Fir trees – some of our parents even got involved by collecting them too!

Amongst all over the arts and crafts, we have learnt about Independence Day and did some amazing colouring involving stars and the colours red, white and blue. We have also celebrated tiger day by making tiger themed cakes.

The Little Comets now have a Little Comet bear called ‘Comet’. He is currently travelling around with Emma and we cannot wait to hear what he has been up to over the week.

We have had lots of fun trying out our new Easel in our room, and have really enjoyed sleeping on our new beds.

A BIG Congratulation to Mason, Erin and Maisie for winning our ‘Star of the Week’ awards this month!

It has been a very fulfilled and exciting month, and we are really excited to “explore the world” as our next topic, so keep your diaries free as there may be some exciting events happening!
