Our menus have a weekly structure which includes vegetarian dishes, meat dishes and fish dishes. All of our dishes incorporate food from different cultures, with different flavours and textures to suit different pallets.
The menus work over an alternating basis, so there is always something different to challenge the children’s taste buds. We vary our menus depending on the season and we cram our meals full of as many vegetables as possible – but we do hide these well, so little eyes do not always know how many vegetables they are actually eating! All dietary requirements can be catered for, and fresh fruit is available daily as an alternative to dessert.

Mealtimes at Little Stars are a social occasion, enjoyed with the other children and staff.
Our staff are encouraged to sit and eat with the children and to help them develop positive eating habits and manners, as well as social skills. Each day, parents are given information about the food their child has had during their session.

Children are offered milk (or milk alternatives) and water to drink and can access fresh water throughout the day.
The children are encouraged to select and serve their snack themselves to develop confidence, independence, and choice.
Strawberry yoghurt and fresh fruit is available every day.
Wholemeal bread or white bread is available with every meal.
Vegan meals available on request.
