Testimonials

Of course we believe our Nursery is the best, but don’t just take our word for it, read what some of the parents think;

We have been sending our daughter to Little Stars for just over a term now and have been so impressed with how much she has developed already.

She has grown enormously in confidence and it has been great to see her social skills with other children improve (after being a lockdown baby this was something we were concerned about). She loves the staff, particularly her key worker Sammii who is always so approachable and tells us in detail about her day. We love receiving updates throughout the day about what she’s been doing- the communication is great. We know our daughter enjoys it too because she frequently sings the “hello” song when at home, mentioning all her friends!

Charlotte – Mummy of a Little Comet

I was anxious about my daughter starting nursery at only 8 months old, but from her first day she has loved Little Stars.

Jo & Mollie have been brilliant and always have big smiles ready to welcome Margot. Margot settled in quickly & is always happy to be dropped off for a fun day. Margots development has improved since starting at nursery and I have full confidence in Jo & Mollie & know Margot is well looked after.

Mummy of a Twinkle

Thank you so much for everything you do to make nursery such a lovely and fun place to be. I love Little Stars and I am very sad about leaving and going to big school.

Thanks for always answering Mummy’s questions (she asks a lot of them, doesn’t she?!) and for being patient with her when she forgets things – like photo day!

I know you work very hard to make nursery such a special place and I particularly love coming to the office to collect a prize when I get 10 stamps – thank you for all my lovely prizes!

Jess and her Mummy

We’ve always found the Little Stars team to be consistent when it comes to our children’s day to day attendance in terms of classmates and of course the team of staff.

Our son talks a lot about the Little Stars team, which gives us huge piece of mind that he not only loves being at the nursery, but that he has strong enough relationships with the team to talk about them at home with us. We’ve always been shown a huge amount of flexibility whenever we’ve requested anything from Little Stars, and that for us is invaluable, given our work commitments.

Importantly though, both of our children look forward to attending and I can see from the online diaries (which we love!) the variety of activities they take part in during their sessions. We love to hear our son talk about his day and what he has been getting up to! I’m reassured that they are both looked after, that they are enjoying his day, and they are developing by being there. Myself and my husband are hugely grateful to the team at Little Stars for their genuine care and attention to our children, and our experience has always been that we receive a very individual level of service from them.

Mummy & Daddy to Teddy and Annabelle

Our daughter joined Little Stars when she was 11 months old, she is now 27 months old. The staff at Little Stars are all lovely and brilliant with the children.

They support your child in every way they can and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. Being a working parent, it is hard leaving her but you know that she is always busy with her days in Little Stars and the staff are always friendly and talk to you about how the days have been. You are always kept up to date. They have helped my daughter to grow and they push her to try new things. Little Stars Day Nursery was recommended to me and I would highly recommend Little Stars to any parent looking for a nursery for their child to go to.

Mummy of Thea

We’ve been attending Little Stars with our two boys since 2012 when our eldest was just 6mths old.

It really is a fabulous nursery which makes a working parents life so much more bearable knowing they have been left in such great hands and having so much fun. Along with a nurturing environment they have given our sons the confidence and first vital steps in a learning environment along with fantastic wholesome food. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable and we would highly recommend Little Stars to any new parent looking for a new setting!

Mummy of Sam and Jamie

I have always found the staff very caring and supportive.

When my son was 2 and in Little Comets, my husband was in Afghan for over 6 months, his key workers got him to make his Father’s day card a few weeks early, so that we had plenty of time to send it to him. I was very touched by this as I hadn’t asked them to do anything. The role play areas in Big Comets and Rockets are great. The imagination my son has for stories or play is so much better than I could have ever helped him with at home. He has been able to experience a variety of roles from hairdressers, cafes, children’s hospital to travel agents, post offices and toy shops.

Mummy of Felix and Chloe

We are sad to be leaving Little Stars after nearly 6 years.

Lily and Jake both loved their time there and started school as confident little people. As working parents with busy jobs Little Stars worked brilliantly for us and I only had to pick up once for illness. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery. Thank you.

As a family we really can’t thank Little Stars enough for all the support they have given our daughter (and us!) over her four years at nursery, and particularly over the last year and a half.

After our daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy, I was so worried about how she would cope at nursery, and everyone at Little Stars did so much to support and accommodate her, as well as always being there to listen to me, and address all my fears and concerns.

Little Stars really went ‘above and beyond’, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Mummy of Aster and Wren

Deciding to change our son’s nursery setting to Little Stars was one of the best choices we could have made – he started with Little Stars in September 2020 and the thought of transitioning during a pandemic was a little daunting.

Oliver was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay at 18 months and really struggled with new routines, people, and communication skills.

From the beginning the Little Stars team were very helpful by arranging meetings with myself to discuss Oliver’s needs and how they could be best met. Laura took the time to talk to Oliver’s outreach support (Local Authorities, Portage and SALT) and constructed support plans to best suit a smooth transition. They also sent videos of the nursery and photos of the staff for Oliver to look at prior to his settle sessions. The professionalism, knowledge and understanding of children with SEND was comforting and reassuring to see as this contributed to a smooth transition not only for Oliver but for us as a family.

As a reception teacher myself, I am pleased to see a variety of creative opportunities provided daily for Oliver at Little Stars. He is now engaging in the whole EYFS curriculum and even enjoys getting messy with paints and collage, which were things he would not entertain previously. He especially enjoys his time in the garden running around, building obstacle courses, or listening to stories with his friends.

To support Oliver’s sensory needs, he loves being taken to the ‘Rainbow Room’ where he is able to explore different textures, sounds and lights. Laura works closely with Oliver’s speech therapist and completes extra sessions with him consolidating his weekly targets. I feel Little Stars have not only helped Oliver make huge developmental progression with his confidence and communication; but he is now hitting new milestones academically and I excitedly enjoy looking at his personalised observations on his interactive ‘Learning Journal.’

It is a joy and relief to see Oliver happily run through the doors every morning eager to get to his room and see his friends. It is comforting and exciting to see the things he is now accomplishing thanks to all the wonderful staff. Oliver was a child who struggled to engage with others, communicate his needs or understand the concept of play. However, after a short few months he is now engaging in circle time, eating at a table with other children and enjoys playing with his new friends. These were all things I didn’t think were possible for my son, but he is now exceeding all our expectations and I know that is because of the patience, kindness, and expertise of all the staff at Little Stars.

Rachel – Mummy to Oliver

Sending your child to nursery can be incredibly daunting but Little Stars made it feel easy.

From the very first settling in session, I, and more importantly my daughter felt comforted by the friendly staff, calm setting and plenty of fun toys to play with. This feeling has continued to grow throughout her journey at nursery and I couldn’t be happier that I put my trust in Little Stars. Her key workers, Sarah and Aura exceeded my expectations from day 1 and just mentioning their names at home now gets my daughter visibly excited for another day at nursery. My relationship with them both is based on a genuine shared interest in my daughter’s happiness and development – it feels like they are as thrilled as me when she hits another milestone. Thank you to all the staff at Little Stars for creating an open and safe space for my daughter to grow.

Charlotte

Little Stars Day Nursery have been a magnificent platform for my daughters transition to school.

The hands-on, wide spread and fun learning alongside the kindness and encouragement in abundance, from all staff members, has boosted her confidence levels and has helped her to reach her full potential for the transition. She has now stared school joyfully, independently and with genuine enthusiasm to learn more.

Thank you Little Stars – I believe the engaging classroom activities and the energy and positivity displayed by all staff members – really does shine through all the children under your care.

Mummy of Rose and Cato

My little boy has been attending Little Stars since he was 7 months old and had just moved into the “Big Boys” room Rockets!

It really is a home from home environment with caring staff who offer wonderful learning experiences whilst maintaining a nurturing and personal approach. They have always been flexible in every way and nothing is too much trouble! Would highly recommend Little Stars!
